早稲田大学理工学部化学科卒。大学在学中に起業し、研修事業と携帯電話販売事業を行った後、大和企業投資株式会社に入社。キャピタリストとしてベンチャー企業への投資業務を行う。
その後、株式会社ソラシドエアの設立に参画し、経営企画担当取締役として、事業計画策定、資金調達等の業務に従事。
同社退社後、株式会社ブイ・シー・エヌのパートナーとなり、IT・Web・シェアリングエコノミー・ブロックチェーン・AI・素材・加工製造技術領域といったベンチャー企業の取締役を兼務。ベンチャーカタリストとしてハンズオンでベンチャー企業の成長支援を行い、複数企業の設立から株式上場、エグジットに携わる。
また、2006年からは社会起業塾イニシアティブのコーディネーターのほか複数NPOの理事を務め、社会的インパクト増大を目的としたソーシャルセクターの組織と社会起業家の成長支援も行い、雇用・教育・貧困・女性活躍・LGBTQ・ダイバーシティ・食・地域活性といった分野の社会課題解決に取り組む。
2008年、当社の設立に参画し取締役COO就任。ベンチャー企業を中心とした採用支援と、750人以上のビジネスリーダーに対するキャリアコンサルティングを行った後、2016年、株式会社エリオス設立。ソーシャルベンチャーカタリストとして、「テクノロジー」を活用して「社会課題」の解決を目指すインパクトテック領域を中心に、ソーシャルベンチャーの創業者個人とその組織の変容に深く関わり、組織の経営基盤強化と社会的インパクト増大に携わる。
2020年、当社に復職。今まで培ってきた経験とネットワークを生かし、起業家やベンチャー企業の幹部を目指す個人のキャリア支援や、成長ベンチャー企業の経営戦略・組織戦略に基づいた採用支援を行う。

Hajime Sugiura graduated from Waseda University majoring in Chemistry. While at University he started training business and mobile phone sales business. After graduation, he joined Daiwa Corporate Investment Co.,Ltd. and worked as a venture capitalist towards venture companies.
He took part in the foundation of Solaseed Air Inc. and as a corporate planning director he took the roles such as business planning and financing.
After he left Solaseed Air Inc., he became a partner at VCN Group Inc. and became directors concurrently at several venture companies varying from IT, Web, Sharing Economy, Block Chain, AI, to Material processing/manufacturing businesses. As a venture catalyst he engaged in foundation, IPO and stock exit of multiple venture companies and provided hands-on support to venture companies to grow.
Since 2006, he has been directors of multiple NPOs including a coordinator of Shakai Kigyojuku Initiative (social entrepreneurship schools). He also supported the growth of social sector organizations and social entrepreneurs, aiming to enlarge their social impact. His involvement with such organizations has been solving issues related to employment, education, poverty, gender equality, LGBTQ, diversity, food, regional revitalization.
In 2008, he participated in the foundation of Concord Executive Group, Inc. and became the COO. He supported recruitment for venture companies and provided career consulting to over 750 business leaders. In 2016, he founded Elios Ltd.. As a social venture catalyst, he was deeply involved with social venture founders themselves and the transition of their organizations, focusing on impact tech where technology is utilized in solving social issues. As a result, he strengthened their management base and enlarged their social impact.
In 2020, he returned to Concord Executive Group Inc. Utilizing his experience and network he has built, he supports career building of individual entrepreneurs and clients who want to become venture company managers. He also supports recruitment of growing venture companies based on their business strategy and organization strategy.
